deSc Architecture was established to infuse the everyday
practice of architecture with greater theoretical and
philosophical notions of design. We strive to push the
practice and the discipline of architecture forward by
maintaining a multi-disciplinary practice with a balance
of built work, paper architecture, and teaching.
In our built work, budget is always a constraint, We
respond with innovative solutions that create aesthetic
opportunity of financial limitations. We are constantly
focusing on new, alternative and ecologically sound building
materials. Our working process develops a language of
architecture that reflects back on architecture itself, re-defining
the typical condition as an optimized design moment.
We push the process of our built work forward through
socio-political investigations of cultural heritage and memory,
by distilling the information to the basic requirements and
intentions of complex ideas to create moments of architectural
clarity.
Though we have completed a range of project types of varying
scope and complexity, our primary interest is in forward
looking projects addressing needs and developments of the
new century. We pride ourselves in finding non-standard
solutions to varying design challenges and problems. Common
to all of our undertakings is a strong commitment to design.
